YJ Testimonial
We joined OWN on June 11, 2008 and started drinking YJ for the same reason that most do – to improve our nutrition and to close the gaps in our diet – we had absolutely zero expectations. That said, I was pleasantly surprised when I lost many of my cravings, lost 10lbs, felt less bloated and had more energy throughout the day – the battery was lasting longer.

However, after drinking YJ for two months, I started to notice that my skin was looking and feeling healthier and I then realized I had not taken my prescribed skin medication for the past seven weeks.

You see, shortly after returning from a six-month tour of duty in Somalia (June 1993), I started getting an itchy scalp. Over the years, the condition had spread from my scalp to my side burns and other localized areas around my head, to my eyebrows, the sides of my nose (the T Zone) and above my upper lip. Large flakes of skin in my eyebrows and on my nose continuously pealed off. The itch was unbearable at times and if I scratched it too much, my skin bled and simply become an open sore where I scratched. Not fun for anyone.

I’ve been told four different things by two dermatologists and two family doctors - it’s eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and a reaction to tomatoes and dairy. I’ve been told that my skin is dry and oily all at the same time. For the past 13 years or so, doctors have prescribed a medicated cream called “Clobetasol Propionate 0.05%” – a steroidal cream designed to “control” my condition.

I was told by doctors to, “…use it sparingly.” I’m embarrassed to say I never asked about any side effects and only just a few weeks ago did I actually look into it. After 13 years of use, I recognized and experienced a few of the cream’s side effects – folliculitis (especially in my scalp and sides of my head) as well as itchy, dry and irritated skin to say the least.

As anyone would, I became extremely desperate to find a natural solution. A naturopath had told me many years ago that my condition was common to many Canadians who’ve lived in Africa – “parasites,” they said – and that the right cleanse could quite possibly me. I’ve tried many cleanses and some not so flattering experimental treatments without any success.

Having said that, ever since drinking YJ, this mystery condition in my skin has all but cleared up. I wouldn’t say I’m cured of it but I am pleased to say that I haven’t used the medicated cream since the first week that I started to drink YJ. My skin looks and feels better all over, especially on my face. Finally, after years of medicated shampoos and skin cream, the answer was inside my body all this time. Our bodies will function more efficiently when it has the tools to do so. YJ is the tool my body was missing. It’s obvious to me that my diet just wasn’t good enough on it’s own to help my body function properly.

No one could be more excited than me. I can’t imagine life without YJ!

Vince, Marv is still deep in someone's belly right about now (operating) , but I think he's in the same calibre as you re: diving...so we'll see as you say, about the vibes of the guys down there. He's finally getting excited...he's not so crazy about leaving our 7 year old... but Thomas has some cool adventures ahead while we are gone, and appears to be okay with it. So, Mexico here we come!! I used to live in Barbados for 12 years, and haven't really seen too much else of the tropical islands, except for Maui last year. I'm sure this trip will be awesome!

Hey - me again! Can't remember where I saw the "blog" type thing that the mexico trip people were chatting on.... (I think that is quite possibly the worst sentence I have ever written in my life!) Do you know if it was facebook or on this website? I was just trying to remember who was asking about diving, as my husband was keen to do just about anything but lay around the pool! hope you can help. Thanks!

Hi Vince,
I am Brady Ramsay's aunt! Already in the business, I have a question for you. Bob Willett said you were having OPEC community or CCES approve YJ for Olympic Athletes....I am also curious as to the banned substance list as my other nephrew is on the Biathlete circuit and he is drug tested....any work as of yet...can I be of any help in this arena......
Cheers,
Patti Mac.
