In 2003 I was racing across the channel from Newport to Catalina in an outrigger canoe. During the race I dislocated my shoulder and I knew this time I would need surgery. I had the surgery and went through PT just fine and was returning to my competitive sport. When I went back NOT all of me was functioning properly. I became exhausted quickly, muscles started to fatigue and shake just trying to stand, my hair started to fall out, my teeth started chipping and I started to gain weight very quickly (60 lbs in 4 months). What the ? I started to go to doctors to try to find out what was going on. I am a competitive athlete and all of a sudden I have lost complete control of my body. One doctor told me there was nothing wrong with me - that I "just need to keep my head out of the trough." Yes, he really said that. I became enraged that this was happening - I was on a mission - to find out what was wrong with me and find a way to correct it. Because there WAS something wrong! As an athlete I am very aware of my body and I knew there was something very wrong. Another doctor told me I was getting older and genetics play a large part in aging - well this guy hasn't met my Mom. She's 5' tall and weighs less than a feather and has more energy than the Energizer Bunny..... I walked out and went to specialists. I wound up with one specialist who had me on cocktails of medication and injections 3x's a day. Lupus they said... then Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - then Fibromyalgia... each time was $2000- per appointment. This was killing me in more ways than one. I finally found an Endocrinologists who specialized in women's hormones. Finally! She diagnosed me with PCOS - which for me was severe insulin resistance. It has been years, but I knew with patience I could beat this. My blood tests were not great and my insulin levels were off the charts. I had to change my diet, my sleep patterns, my work out regime, my stress levels, everything had to be looked at and modified. It has taken years to get close to normal while still taking a lot of medications to control my insulin. Medication 7 x's a day to 5 x's a day. UGH! By a fluke I received YOUTH JUICE and within weeks my blood work came back looking better than it ever has. What was this? I have tried every possible herbal remedy, juicing, fasting, protein, low-carb, no white stuff - you name it I tried it... YJ? The stuff tasted great, but is this small amount really changing my numbers? YOU BET IT DID!!!! I went to the doctor just before Xmas and guess what? I am within NORMAL ranges!! Did you just hear what I said!!! For the first time in my life - all my numbers are withing NORMAL ranges. I cried . I never thought I would ever here those words again. I have taken up to 26 pills 7 times a day then down to 5 times a day - Huge amounts that never got absorbed completely - having to eat enough food so I wouldn't get sick while taking that many pills. I spent 2 years with severe GI side effects from the meds I was on. The new meds are not covered by insurance, but I don't have the side effects. GEE, which one should I choose? I chose to have a life - so I spend the money. I still have to take those meds but guess what. I am now down to twice a day AND I only take 7 pills in the morning and 5 pills at night!!! Now - some people may say that this is just not possible. I have blood work done every 3 months so I have records to track these numbers and they finally say NORMAL and the ONLY thing I have done differently is add the YOUTH JUICE. I never thought in a million years that a juice would be the thing to put me in normal ranges - but I thank the higher PTB (Powers That BE) that I received this amazing gift. I'm normal - still on some meds, but I feel like I have a life again. Thanks Sunny for giving me the "stuff" (YJ) and thank you ,Bob and Shawn for bringing to the U.S.
