Hi Carmen, I noticed what you said on my mom's (Bev's) wall about having an upset stomach. Did you read the FAQs on the OWN website? It answers that question there. It could be, like my mom said, drinking YJ on a full stomach would be better for you. Getting that much vit and min at the same time can cause some to get an bit of an upset stomach if there's nothing in your system. Most vit and min dosages are recommended the same way. You could also lessen your dosage and build back up to 3oz over time. Hope that helps!

I notice the upset stomach when I take it first thing in the morning. I now take it after I have eaten and do not have the upset stomach anymore.

Hello Carmen, I also was diagnosed with osteo-arthritis in my knees a couple of years ago. I will be 54 in June. I have been on the YJ since Mar 2/09. Wondering how long it took for you to notice reduction in the pain.

I was diagnosed with early osteo-arthritis over three years ago. I'm only 55 and I didn't want to start taking medication on a regular basis for many reasons. Ibuprophen eased the pain in my thumb joints slightly, but not enough to be able to unscrew a jar lid; use a can opener or even write/type comfortably. The latter being most important due to the fact that I'm a freelance writer. I've been taking YJ for a few months and, with the exception of rare occassions usually caused by weather or over-exertion, am pain free! I have noticed that if I forget or neglect to take YJ the pain starts to return. I don't leave home without it.....YJ, not AMEX!
